Frequently Asked Questions

To book your session, simply fill out the booking form or contact me directly. A 50% non-refundable retainer and signed agreement are required to secure your date and time. The remaining balance is due on the day of your session.


Outfit changes are welcome as long as they fall within the allotted session time. Additional time can be purchased for multiple concepts, outfit changes, or locations—please refer to the Add-Ons section for details.


As a general guide, a 90-minute session typically allows for 2–3 outfit changes, depending on the complexity of the vision, setup, and locations involved.


 Absolutely! I’ll guide you throughout the session with easy posing, prompts, and direction to help you feel confident and look your best. 


  • Please arrive on time. You may arrive up to 15 minutes early, but the session will begin at your scheduled start time.
  • Late arrivals: If you are late, your session will still end at the originally scheduled time.
  • If you are more than 30 minutes late and have not contacted the photographer, your session will be automatically canceled. Your retainer will be forfeited as a cancellation fee, and a new retainer will be required to rebook.  
  • If your session exceeds the scheduled time, an additional fee of $50 per half hour will apply.  
  • Children under 12 years are not allowed in the studio unless they are part of the session and have been approved by the photographer in advance. They must be supervised at all times for their safety.  


Prohibited items and actions: 

- No glitter or confetti cannons (digital effects can be added in post-processing).   - No smoking or open flames.  

- No colored turmeric or powder-based props.

- No outside photography or videography without prior written permission. 


 


 Clients will select their final images for editing based on the package chosen at the time of booking. Any additional edits should be purchased before the editing process begins.

Only high-resolution, fully retouched JPEG files will be delivered. Unedited RAW files are not included, but may be purchased separately.

Each selected image receives 2–3+ hours of detailed editing to ensure a polished, high-quality result. Professional retouching includes adjustments to the face, body, background, lighting, contrast, color balance, distracting elements, and cropping.


To help achieve the best possible results from your session, I recommend hiring a professional for hair and makeup. Professional styling significantly enhances the quality of your final images and ensures a polished, camera-ready look. If you need assistance, I’d be happy to share a list of makeup artists, hairstylists, and wardrobe professionals that have worked with me.


Before your session:

  • Please try on all outfits in advance to ensure they fit well and align with your vision.
  • While basic retouching is included, corrections to hair, makeup, or wardrobe that could have been addressed beforehand may not be included in standard editing.


Retouching Notice (Wigs & Lace Installs)

Please ensure that wigs and lace installs are of high quality and properly blended. Poor installs may require significant extra editing time and could result in an additional retouching fee (up to $12 per image depending on complexity).

Due to the intricate nature of correcting lace in post-processing, it's best to arrive fully prepared to minimize editing needs and ensure optimal results.


 After your session, a proof gallery will be emailed to you within three (3) business days. 


Once you have selected your favorite images, the final edited photos will be delivered within two (2) weeks from the date of your selection.


Please note that RAW or unedited original images are not included in any package. However, the full unedited gallery can be purchased separately if desired.


Your online gallery will remain active for four (4) weeks. If the gallery expires before you have downloaded your images, a $25 reactivation fee will apply to reload the gallery.


 If you have a specific deadline for receiving your final images, please communicate this prior to booking whenever possible. I will do my best to accommodate requested deadlines. There are times when rush requests may result in additional fees. These will need to be approved in advance.

Please note:

  • Rush editing will only begin once full payment has been received. 
  • The photographer is not responsible for delays if the client does not submit their favorite image selections in a timely manner.
     

Rush Delivery Fees:

  • 24 hours: $50/images 
  • 48 hours: $35/image 
  • 72 hours: $25/image 
  • Two weeks (standard expedited): $7/image


Event Photography Frequently Asked Questions

I cover a variety of events including conferences, corporate gatherings, speaking engagements, networking mixers, award ceremonies, galas, private celebrations, and community events. If you're unsure if your event is a fit, feel free to reach out!


Event coverage includes on-site photography during the agreed time frame, high-resolution edited images, and delivery via a private online gallery. You’ll receive a curated selection of the best moments—key speakers, candid interactions, group shots, and venue details. 


 The number of final images depends on the event length and type. An average that you can expect:

  • 2-hour event: 50–75 edited images
  • 4-hour event: 100–150 images
  • Full-day event: 200–300+ images


Only the best, high-quality shots are selected and edited for delivery.


Proofs or final images are typically delivered within 5–7 business days. Rush delivery is available for an additional fee.


Travel within Northern Virginia or Washington, D.C. is included. A travel fee of $0.70/mile applies beyond this geography. For out-of-state events, custom travel arrangements will be discussed.


 To reserve your date, a signed agreement and a 50% non-refundable retainer are required. The remaining balance is due by the day of the event. 


Yes, if needed. While most coverage is candid/documentary-style, I’m happy to take posed group photos, team shots, or headshots as requested—just let me know in advance. 


 Absolutely! I encourage clients to share a shot list or outline of key moments (e.g., speakers, awards, branding elements) so I can ensure nothing is missed.


 No. I only deliver high-resolution, edited JPEG images. RAW files are not included, unless specifically arranged and purchased separately 


Yes! Your package includes standard commercial usage rights for marketing, websites, and social media. For extended licensing (ads, third-party use), please inquire.


Every image is crafted with care—quality always comes first.

Booking Information & Image Selection

You will have the opportunity to select your favorite images for editing. Then, I dedicate hours carefully retouching each image to ensure it meets the highest professional standards. Please note that unedited RAW or original files are not included.


For your convenience, below are pricing packages, FAQs, and online booking details. To ensure availability, I recommend booking your session at least 3 weeks in advance of your desired posting or delivery date.


After Your Session:

  • Proofs will be delivered via email within 3 business days for studio, lifestyle and . 
  • Once you’ve selected your favorites, final edited images will be delivered within as quickly as possible depending on package selection. 
  • If you have a specific deadline, please notify me prior to your session.
     

Rush delivery is available upon request for an additional fee -- see add-on section for details.

Booking Policy

A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your desired date and time. This retainer protects against no-shows and last-minute cancellations. Your deposit is applied toward your total session cost.


If you need to reschedule, the retainer may be credited toward one future session as long as the reschedule request is made at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled session.


Remaining balances are due on the day of the session, and final images will be delivered once payment is received in full.

Session Timing & Booking Policy

 - Please note that your session date is not secured on the calendar until the non-refundable retainer has been received. Dates are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis once payment is confirmed.

 - Your total session time includes all preparation, such as prop setup, travel time, hair, makeup, and outfit changes. Late arrivals may result in reduced shooting time, as sessions must conclude at the originally scheduled end time.

- If you would like to incorporate extra backdrops, outfit changes, multiple concepts, or locations, please plan and confirm these in advance. Additional time cannot be guaranteed on the day of the shoot.

-To help your session run smoothly, please allow extra time between appointments to avoid scheduling conflicts or delays.
